I am blessed to be the wife of an amazing husband and momma to a precious little lady.
We’ve lived in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley since 2018 following my husbands graduation from Bridgewater College. Previously, I called the mountains of Covington, VA home for my first 25 years.
I love music (of wide variety), the smell of rain, everything fall, antique malls, margaritas and capturing your precious moments!
I discovered my love for photography as a child. I actually remember always begging to play with my Paw Paws old Polaroid. Now, these were far from gallery worthy photos - unless that gallery was specifically catered to highlighting the lives of snails and rollie pollies - or the anatomy of the average 8 year olds nostrils. In high school, I was able to sign up for a photography class to better expand my knowledge of the art. From that moment on, I made sure I always had my camera with me. I'd take photos of my friends, of course - but I also really loved to take photos of random scenes on my bus ride to and from school. I honestly just liked to take pictures of anything that I found, well.... Cool.
As the years passed, I ventured down different paths and set my dream of photography to the side for a while. In 2021, my husband purchased my first professional camera for me. We spent our weekends going for drives and hikes around the valley, specifically around Shenandoah National Park (heaven on earth). After creating quite a bit of work that I was proud of, I created my Facebook page to share my landscape and wildlife photos. However, I then strayed away from the dream once more after the birth of my daughter in 2022. Motherhood is an adventure all in its own - if you know, you know.
Now, I have settled into my new phase of life and I am ready to be back behind the lens to focus (pun intended) on capturing all of life's precious moments. My heart will always hold a special place for my wildlife and landscape photography - but I have found a new love working with couples, children, and families. There's something so special knowing that you are capturing a moment that will one day be such a precious, distant memory - a moment that will last forever in your frame.
Even if I don't have an opportunity to work with you personally for a session, my hope is that you (along with anyone stumbling on to my page) enjoy my content and can feel the emotion behind each snap.
With Love,
C Wylie
